Beach Camp Brewing Co.
Brewing craft beers in a Beach town.
After 3 years at The Wine Bar. I knew I was ready for a change but I wasn't ready to give up that work family. I knew I loved working for that company and so I almost didn't leave Wine Bar at first. I finally reached out to my boss and asked him what he thought I should do and if he knew of any other jobs around the area that I should look into. When he told me they were hiring at Beach Camp, the Grayton Beach location, I knew I had to take it. It was only 5 minutes from the Wine Bar so I already knew the area and it was the same company so I knew I would enjoy it. My boss reached out to the general manager at Beach Camp and I applied a few days later and got the job that day. I spent that whole summer learning more about beer and working 4-5 days a week in a lighthearted, energetic environment that I enjoyed going to each day. When I go back home for breaks, I will work there seasonally.
Beach Camp was originally Grayton Brewing Company, and our company owned the building while another company brewed their beer there. About a month or so before I joined the team, they changed their name to Beach Camp Brewpub, and our company took over the building to become our own brewery. We hired a brew master from Funky Buddha Brewery and he came to get our brewery on its feet and create our extensive list of beers that we now have. Once we had our grand opening and rolled out the new list of Beach Camp beers, our brew master was able to move onto his next job. However, we do still have new beers being brewed all the time under the control of our full time brewer.
Our menu consists of brewery foods like pretzels, nachos, and wings, with bigger lunch/dinner items like sandwhiches and salads. They also do a great job of incorporating the Florida factor with seafood entities like fish sandwhiches or shrimp plates.
