“The one who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. Those who walk alone are likely to find themselves in places no one has ever been before.”

Hi! My name is Jennings Seton and I'm from Destin, Florida. I'm a graduate of the Horst Schulze School of Hospitality Management at Auburn University with a degree in Event Management along with a minor in Business.

I didn’t start out in the Hospitality program but I wish I would have chosen that path sooner because it is definitely where I was meant to be. Almost all of my job experience is in the hospitality industry. A lot of my experience is in the restaurant industry, however through my internship with Kalon Event and Food Design, and my current job with Sandestin, I have expanded my horizons into luxury events and catering.

When it comes to the passions I have in life, I would say I’m very passionate about the arts. I played the piano and the violin as a child, danced ballet for 11 years, took voice lessons for 6 years and was in theatre all throughout high school. I also took irish dance lessons and modeled on the side. Along with that I took many art lessons and to this day, find peace in taking time to sit down and paint. I originally thought that I wanted to go to school for theatre or art but decided against it because to me it’s more of a hobby than a career.

Once I realized that I didn’t want to pursue acting or art for my career, I felt really lost when thinking about what I would ultimately go to school for. When I found the hospitality program it felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I had somewhere that I felt I truly belonged and I didn’t have to struggle through all of my classes, I was actually good at them. Not only that, I had a major that will eventually help me channel my creativity and organization into a job that I can enjoy doing everyday. I hope to use my skills in these areas to bring my clients visions to life and give them something they could have only dreamed of.

My dream is to pursue events in the sports world, being surrounded by the energy and excitement that gamedays bring, and channeling the nostalgic and familiar feeling that sports can instill into its fans, into events that enhance gamedays and elevate that already unmatched experience.
